Our canoe trip on the Cowlitz

Today we took our canoe for a paddle on the Cowlitz.  Billy made the canoe about 4 years ago out of some red cedar.  I did help by weaving the seats.  One thing that I like about paddling it is that our canoe is so beautiful that it compliments the places we visit.  It also goes slowly enough that we can appreciate the birds, plants and wildlife.  We frequently go ashore to look at things more closely and to stretch our legs.  When we returned to where we had launched the canoe, we had a nice lunch of home made pita bread with home made cheese; home grown tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers with raspberries for dessert.  What a wonderful day!

  1. The canoe is beautiful. I appreciate fine workmanship. How are the calf and horse doing?
